The Institute of Arts and Humanities at The University of Worcester is a place of transformative education and interdisciplinary innovation. With arts programmes that span Fine Art, Graphic Design and Illustration, our ethos is to situate arts practices at the intersection of disciplinary boundaries and alongside national and international artists. This approach provides unique course offers and produces future-facing creative practitioners.
Situated in The Art House, we are part of the vibrant Arts Quarter of Worcester, a hub of creativity within the city. Home to a range of independent galleries, studios, and exhibition spaces, the area offers a dynamic environment for students to work closely with artists and the public. The Art House is a place where contemporary practice meets community, and where theory can be explored through live projects and collaborations.
Close proximity to the Arts Quarter has meant that our academic teams and students have embedded themselves within the creative fabric of the local region, prioritising community impact through therapeutic and sustainable arts projects that promote, amongst other themes, river and ocean literacy. This approach has extended nationally and internationally fostering creative growth and cultural dialogue with diverse communities; we are a catalyst for innovative and future-facing art and meaningful community engagement.
